Comic Answers
What does "Sverd Shelgr" mean?
In the ancient language spoken in the Inheritance Cycle, "sverd shelgr" means "hallowed sword". It is the name of the group Volheim, Geuloth, Zhada and Drajl are a part of, the irony being that none of them wields a sword.

How often does the comic update?
Currently, a new comic is posted every Monday and Friday. The Caption Contest updates every second Saturday.

When did the Sverd Shelgr comics start?
Sverd Shelgr was created on the 11th of June 2006. The old Sverd Shelgr series was published online from August to December 2006. On the 1st of January 2007, the current series began being published online.

Who was the red-robed dwarf who got killed in the second comic?
His name was Thargen, and he was the third member of Sverd Shelgr until he was crushed underneath a copy of Eldest that fell from the sky. He was sent with Volheim by the Dwarf King to recover Urunien, a magical staff that was stolen from the dwarves.

Why is Geuloth's hair purple?
According to Geuloth, his hair was silver until he was three years old. Then a Dragon Rider made a prophecy over him that he would "one day lead an army against the Fallen Ones", and when her dragon touched Geuloth's head his hair turned purple.

How big are the gods, goddesses and bunny soldiers?
They are usually human- (and rabbit-) sized, but they can grow quite a lot bigger if they want to.

If Drajl's a werecat, why doesn't he change his form?
Drajl has changed from his cat-shape to his human-shape in at least one instance (see Comic #131), but he can only stay in human-shape for a few minutes. Aside from that, he doesn't like his human appearance.

I found a mistake in one of the comics. What should I do?
Please make a post about it in the forum or contact SM Turton, so that it can be corrected.

Why did the style and plotline of the comics change at one point?
The old series of comics had a very simplistic six-panel layout, and stiff, flat artwork. It also didn't have a set plot, with Sverd Shelgr just wandering about with no goals or quests. I decided to retire the old series and start the current one, which has more malleable artwork and follows a plot.

What I can do to help Sverd Shelgr?
The best and easiest way to help Sverd Shelgr is to tell other people about it, whether by posting a link to it on another website, or actually talking about it to someone, or through any other way you can think of. Other than that, it would be greatly appreciated if you voted for Sverd Shelgr by clicking on the "VOTE" buttons on the Home page. Each "VOTE" button can be clicked once a day. Thirdly, you can help Sverd Shelgr by posting in the forum.
